MiTek UK & Ireland’s Transformation Team has been busy supporting good causes at both a national and local level.
And in 2025, more people than ever got involved with our employee-led activities, serving our communities and helping those in need.
From volunteering to fundraising, and everything in between, the team has spent the year making a difference. Guided by MiTek’s primary giving pillars, to ‘protect our planet’, ‘educate to innovate’, and ‘shelter humanity’, they’ve supported charitable organisations both large and small, generously donating time, energy and money along the way.
In 2025, some of the activities the Transformation Team took part in included:
- Collected 485.1kg of food and 82.1kg of toiletries for the Black Country Food Bank, all donated by staff. Fifteen team members also volunteered at the food bank, sorting donations, rotating stock by date and collecting community donations.
- Renovated a safe house for The Haven, Wolverhampton. Eighteen members of the team spent several days repainting, refurbishing and refreshing the property, turning it into a warm and welcoming space for women and children who have escaped domestic abuse.
- Packed 168 washbags filled with essential items such as shampoo, shower gel, razors, deodorant and moisturising body lotion, for Maggs Day Centre, which supports people who are homeless or vulnerably housed, through MiTek’s partnership with CRASH.
- Supported on project for Severn Hospice to repair damaged trusses on an existing roof and advised on a proposed roof construction for a new extension, also through our partnership with CRASH.
- Took part in local litter picks around MiTek offices in Dudley.
- Raised £580 for Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer through a bake sale.
- Completed a charity hike around Carding Mill Valley in the Shropshire Hills, raising £230 for the Oddballs Foundation, which focuses on raising awareness of testicular cancer.
- Ran the DK10K run, raising £440 for Myeloma UK.
- Donated and collected 40 selection boxes for children supported by The Haven during the Christmas period.
The Transformation Team is led by Charlotte Cox, Software Engineer, Residential EMEA.
Charlotte said: “2025 was an incredibly busy and rewarding year for the Transformation Team. Everyone has really gone above and beyond giving their time, money and energy to support some amazing charities and good causes.
“By coming together and pooling our skills, we have been able to make a real difference to people who need it most. I am so proud to have been part of such a dedicated team and the positive impact we’ve made this year.
“Here’s to even more in 2026. Working together, who knows what we can achieve?”
