MiTek Mark 1 Press
2019 has been a record year for MiTek’s machinery department, with numerous truss and joist manufacturers choosing to invest in new presses and saws from MiTek.
MiTek machinery is available to all truss and joist manufacturers, regardless of system used, and there is a wide range of options available to suit individual requirements. Our entry level joist press, the SF8 has been a very popular seller, ideal for manufacturers starting out in Posi-Joist metal web joist manufacture.
We have also supplied various specifications of our range topping Mark 1 truss table press, including two incorporating the easy-jig automatic pucking system for the quickest possible truss setup times. The Mark 1 press features robust walk through steel tables, meaning no clambering up and down onto the table is required, and teach and go or fully automatic pressing modes for speed of manufacture.
Mark 1 Light Press
Our Mark 1 Light truss press proved popular too, offering smooth and quiet operation with no ground rail, a versatile plywood table top and teach and go operation for quick pressing.
Lasers
2019 also saw the introduction of lasers to our product range, with the addition of the Virtek lasers to our extensive line up. We have already taken orders for 4 laser systems and feedback has been excellent, with the lasers helping to significantly reduce setup times and increase accuracy of manufacture.
The MiTek machinery team has also been significantly strengthened over the year with the addition of two additional engineers, Carl Southwell and Alwyn Howarth, who have joined Scott Priest and Dave Thomas to create an immensely experienced service and installation team.
