We’re very proud to have been shortlisted for the 2021 Constructing Excellence Digital Construction Award, here in the West Midlands.
Our 3D technology has been shortlisted for its ability to create accurate and cost-effective designs which can be widely shared across project teams, anywhere, and on any device.
The technology is enabling project teams across the country to effectively share 3D models of engineered timber designs, without the need for complicated app downloads, software or subscriptions.
Speaking of the technology, Jimmy Close, MiTek Business Development Director said:
“Since beginning the roll out of MiTek 3D in December 2020, over 2000 3D models of roof truss, Posi-Joist and timber frame designs have been shared by MiTek design software users in the UK.
“We worked closely with our customers to develop MiTek 3D using the latest cloud hosting technology and we’ve had overwhelmingly positive feedback from users.”
Architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and skilled trades are sharing 3D models of designs with no cost and absolute ease, unlike traditional static 3D images.
Jimmy adds:
“MiTek 3D facilitates far greater collaboration between engineered timber suppliers and their customers.
“What’s really impressive is how potential issues can be identified very early on in the design process, eliminating any costly remedial work later in a build or building lifecycle, saving time and money.”
