MiTek has reason to celebrate! Posi-Joist has won the Best Building Fabric Product category in the notable Housebuilder Product Awards 2024, the leading awards for UK housebuilding.
Now in their twelfth year, The Housebuilder Product Awards reward excellence for products and systems which aid new home development in the UK.
Scooping the coveted Best Building Fabric Product Award highlights the positive contribution Posi-Joists are having on the housebuilding industry, and we’re thrilled the product is being recognised.
Launched in the UK market in 1995, Posi-Joist has become the product of choice for housebuilders up and down the UK. It has been tested and proven in the field for decades. More specifiers have switched to a system which saves time, labour costs, and carbon because of legislation like The Future Homes Standard.
As the design of sustainable housing becomes more ambitious and challenging, advanced systems are required to support emerging technologies. Flooring and roofing need a system which is versatile, economical, and robust. And Posi-Joist can deliver – it makes it easier to install sustainable technology and futureproof UK homes.
Barratt Developments use of Posi-Joist at eHome2 in the Energy House 2.0 laboratory is a great example of how Posi-Joist has opened up new opportunities for housebuilders in the quest to deliver more sustainable homes which meet FHS regulations.

The Awards
The Housebuilder Product Awards are supported by HBF and NHBC and sponsored by Daikin. Judges include the likes of Richard Smith, Head of Standards, Innovation and Research, NHBC, Craig Ferrans, Group Design & Technical Director, Barratt Developments and others from organisations including CPA, HBF, Future Homes Hub and leading housebuilders.
MiTek will accept the award at a special ceremony in June. All winners automatically become finalists for the Product of the Year category at the Housebuilder Awards 2024 announced on 31st October, where one will be selected as the best of 2024.
